Inner Growth Thought of the Day: Who’s Your Hero Says A Lot

A closer look at your hero (heroes) gives you insights into you and the characteristics you value, which render those you look up to as examples of who or what you want to be in life.
Through an inner exploration of your different heroes and their characteristics you understand what they represent from your inner core and if it’s time for transformation and to let go of ‘old’ characteristics from your heroes that you used to lead your thoughts, actions, and overall life by.
Here are some ways to gain inner knowledge of you for inner growth through the exploration of your hero (heroes).
- Make a list of all your heroes and next to each write two to three characteristics they have that you look up to and apply in your life. Pay attention to how you feel about the characteristics you list and if or how you apply them in your life. Any characteristic that doesn’t feel in tune with your inner core, decide on your next steps to transform and/or let go of.
- Every end of the year take some time to reevaluate your list of heroes and add to it or put a note on the ones that took a turn throughout the year through something you came to realize about you or that has changed in your life.
- Once a month pick a temporary hero that you look up to, a person that inspires you to do more or think more about leading from your inner core and pursuing inner growth. Keep a journal of all the heroes in time so that you may look back to them as you go through your inner growth journey.
