Staying calm when angry can avoid getting burnt and results in positive living

In response to an interesting point on anger made by @affirmyourlife on Twitter (@affirmyourlife: Speak when you are angry and you’ll make the best speech you’ll ever regret. – Dr. Laurence J. Peter), which I replied to (@luna12780: “That is very, very true…unless one is able to maintain their calm and clarity even while angry.”), my #inspirational #quote of the day (on anger) was born:

“Anger can burn us in and out. Learn to care for your fires. This way they will keep you warm, but not burn you.” – FNM

What are your thoughts? Do you feel calm even when angry or do you lose control?  Have you ever met anyone who can stay calm although they are angry?

Smart choices: even if life turns you down smile back

Take life with a smile.

“We smile at life because without smiles there are only tears and what meaning is there to that?” – FNM

“A day without laughter is a day wasted.” – Charlie Chaplin

Conscience vs. Reputation

“Worry more about your conscience than your reputation. Because your conscience is what you are, your reputation is what others think of you. And what others think of you is their problem.”
~ Charlie Chaplin.

Emotions the Essence of Life

One of the simplest quotes I’ve ever read, but that holds so much meaning to it is Dr. Seuss’ “Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened.” quote.

“Life may be difficult at times, but it’s the only thing we have.” – FNM

So even when you cry, at least you can know you have felt joy and that soon again your tears will pass.  We should also remember that even crying is part of the joy of life because it means we feel and live something emotionally.

Emotions are the essence of life.  They are sort of proof that we are living.  If we were static then we would be machines or robotic; instead we are not.  Everything living: plants, animals, even the oceans; they all change, and although some changes are predictable, surprises never cease to exist.

Embrace life and the emotional rollercoaster, as long as it’s worth it for you then your life will be worth wild too; no matter what disappointments or catastrophes may come.  The individual decides how to handle what happens; even if we think we don’t, the power of how something affects us is in our hands.

All any of us can do is try to make the best of things and if  any of you are ever in need of reading material suggestions or a person to talk to, please write me (you can leave a comment here or write me or message me on my FB page).

Since we’re on the topic of life I also wanted to share a perfect item that I found some time ago where I cherish my life moments.  It’s a scrapbook; here’s the link for anyone interested:
