Exploring raising your consciousness to your defense mechanisms; why this is important for your inner harmony, flow, open heart, unconditional love, higher potential, love of life and overall quality of life; how inner growth helps you to raise your consciousness to these mechanisms and explore them with the human elements, the essence of you, your heart, and overcome them to stop blocking your higher potential; and what ways you can identify these defense mechanisms by exploring from within your day-to-day habits, situations, life events, and so on.

Your Inner Growth Exercise of The Day depending on where you are in your journey:

 

  1. Inner Growth Exercise for Beginners: Make it a habit to explore reactions you have that you feel are a way you are defending yourself from getting hurt emotionally (like when you take something personally and defend it in an argument with reasons and explanations and/or a defensive tone). Decide one to three ways you are going to work with your feelings in the moment and stand in self-love with yourself for who you are as is, while respecting the others or situations that you are defending yourself from in conversation.

 

  1. Inner Growth Exercise for Intermediate: Now it’s time to explore the deep wounds/hurts that are what your defense mechanisms are all about. Identify these through the judgements you apply on self and/or others; or if they are clear to you, make a list of them (the wounds/hurts).  Then decide on one to three ways you are going to apply neutrality, self-love, acceptance of others for who they are as they are and maintain respect of self and others until you heal wounds/hurts with your unconditional love.

 

  1. Inner Growth Exercise for Advanced: Journal about the inner growth that comes from any defense mechanisms that arise with situations or people, or any time you notice a defense mechanism come up in someone else that you’re interacting with. Write about the experience, what you learn, how it expands your potential, what your consciousness is able to tap in to emotionally and mentally (through thought process), as well as the new way you are able to think about the situation thanks to neutrality, impartiality and unconditional love being a part of the entire process/exploration.
