Inner Growth Exercise of the Day: Dealing With Self-Centered Behavior
Exploring dealing with self-centered behavior; how it is something that affects everyone; why unconditional love for self and others and understanding are super important in these situations; what inner growth helps you to acquire from the experience; and how your perception in the moment will bring forth a completely different scenario for you with these types of situations.
Your Inner Growth Exercise of The Day depending on where you are in your journey:
- Inner Growth Exercise for Beginners: When you encounter self-centered behavior take some time to list what stands out the most for you and what emotions are a part of those things that stand out. Find one way to bring forth understanding and love to these behaviors and the people involved, while also choosing if you want to distance yourself for a while or permanently.
- Inner Growth Exercise for Intermediate: Find the inner self-centered behavior that still accompanies you in your dealing with others who express self-centered behavior. Take note if you are able to do this with observation and not self-judgement or judgement of others. If you notice judgement bring forth neutrality, love and openness to learn. Write about what you find through this exploration as an observer and/or a judger.
- Inner Growth Exercise for Advanced: For you at this point of your journey, it’s about seeing (sensing, feeling, perceiving, being conscious and completely aware of the essence components) the hurt, fear, disconnect, not flow, etc. when you or others demonstrate self-centered behavior in a way that takes from others or affects others. Write about what you observe and how it brings about inner growth for you, the possibility to share love and comfort to others, and anything else that stands out for you from the experience.
