Inner Growth Exercise of the Day: Managing Overwhelming Emotions With Love

Your Inner Growth Exercise of The Day depending on where you are in your journey:

 

  1. Inner Growth Exercise for Beginners: When you find yourself dealing with overwhelming emotions take some time daily or weekly (or when you have some time) to sit with those emotions and bring to your awareness one to two loving thoughts to the possibility you have of uncovering deeper parts of you and bring them forth to your consciousness, as well as choose what their meaning will be and your next steps in pursuit of love from within for life and your meaning of life, your purpose.

 

  1. Inner Growth Exercise for Intermediate: Knowing the essence of you (your inner core, heart, your life purpose and meaning, etc.) better at this point in your inner growth journey allows you to make a list of the reasons why you are overwhelmed by emotions. So, when you get some time, write out or think about your reasons for feeling overwhelmed.  Next to each reason you find, identify what resistance is present (what fear or judgement or self-doubt or inner conflict, etc.) and find one loving thing the essence of you has to share for that resistance allowing the feelings to flow instead of staying “stuck” there.  Also, write or think about three things you value most in life, that you love, and that give you that reason to appreciate this moment of introspection and opportunity to keep choosing inner growth and love.

 

  1. Inner Growth Exercise for Advanced: In this point of an inner growth journey you have a clear picture of what you’re dealing with from within and the external’s opportunity to get you to keep looking to your heart and trust in life for answers. So for you, it’s about taking this opportunity of overwhelmed emotions to identify where you’re struggling to lighten the fear with love and trust. In this moment of contemplation decide on three ways you’re going to practice flow of love and trust in life to replace the fear.
