Inner Growth Exercise of the Day: Staying Open To Life’s Possibilities After Disappointment
Exploring staying open to life’s possibilities after disappointment; working through past, now and future contemplations related to situations that lead to feelings and thoughts of disappointment; how inner growth gets you to go beyond the disappointment and stay open to life’s possibilities not only from the mind, but also from the heart; and the amazing expansion that comes from being able to stay open to all life’s possibilities.
Your Inner Growth Exercise of The Day depending on where you are in your journey:
- Inner Growth Exercise for Beginners: When you’re disappointed by something or someone make a list of the reasons for this feeling. Then take a look at where you’re at now and what you learned you want for your future. Write down one to three of the desires (solely based on you, not involving others or things outside of you that you have no way of steering) you pinpointed through your exploration and when you notice returning back to a feeling of disappointment remind yourself to be in the now so that you can take actions to allow life’s possibilities to lead the way to those desires you listed.
- Inner Growth Exercise for Intermediate: Take the aspects of disappointment that are opposites (those things you define as “good and bad”) and find your judgment. Take love and neutrality to that judgement to expand your vision on these opposites in a way that provides you with the ability to let go of what you can’t change and move forward with what you can do for yourself in life (staying open to life thanks to the lessons that come from opposites).
- Inner Growth Exercise for Advanced: Journal about the way you’re able to work through and learn from disappointments now that you are consistently growing staying open to life’s possibilities from the heart.
