Inner Growth Exercise of the Day: Avoid Letting Irritation Get To You
Exploring how to avoid letting irritation get to you; why going within helps you to learn from irritation, which transforms it into something that can bring more to your person and day-to-day; the limits to inner growth and the expansion of your potential that come with not going within when irritation happens; and how you always have a choice of how you want to handle something so that it doesn’t get to you in a way that isn’t a positive in your life and heart.
Your Inner Growth Exercise of The Day depending on where you are in your journey:
- Inner Growth Exercise for Beginners: When you get irritated take some time to sit with your emotions. Make a list of why you’re irritated and for each item find one to two ways you can bring calmness within in the moment so that you may stay centered as you deal with the person, people, and/or situation(s) at hand.
- Inner Growth Exercise for Intermediate: In your moments of irritation identify the areas of control or judgement that are included within the emotions. You can do this by asking yourself if you are trying to control something of the situation and/or if you’re judging the people or person that you’re interacting with. Along your contemplation also bring forth one compassionate thought for you and your irritation, as well as for the situation and/or people or person.
- Inner Growth Exercise for Advanced: At this point in your journey identify how you can further raise your consciousness to the irritations that come about sooner than later. Write about one to three things you can test doing this so that you are completely aware in the moment of the feeling of irritation and allow yourself to bring love to it, understand it, and redirect it in a way that is helpful to you, others, and the situation.
