Inner Growth Word of The Day 358 – Guidance

December 24

Inner Growth Word of the Day: Guidance

Merriam-Webster Dictionary definition: (n.) 1. the act or process of guiding. 2 a. the direction provided by a guide.

Guidance in a sentence: Taking notice of what guidance your heart provides is important since it leads you to take actions in those things that make you happy.

Guidance in action: Advice that you give on any matter is guidance.

Guidance and inner growth: Exploring where you get your guidance pursues inner growth as you ensure its origin is from within and when it’s not you find out why that is the case.

Guidance and inner growth action steps:

  1. In-depth self-exploration questions: When did I first think about guidance? Who besides myself gives me guidance on important matters in my life?  How has my own guidance helped me make life choices?  When do I need guidance the most?  Why is guidance something I seek?  In what instances did guidance from others come in handy?  What role does life play in the guidance I receive?

  1. List or word bubble: Make a list or word bubble with guidance at the center and then list or put around it all the words that come to mind associated with it. Think of a specific moment in your life where your guidance provided you with the best decision for you.  Write about this moment using the words from your list.

  1. Bring your awareness to your feelings about guidance and notice where the initial feelings arise from and where they go. Next silence your mind and just tune in to the flow of those emotions.  As you do this take note if they are stronger in certain areas or evenly distributed.  When you’re ready allow thoughts to come in of specific moments of guidance and see how your feelings change.
