Inner Growth Word of the Day: Inevitable

Merriam-Webster Dictionary definition: (adj.) incapable of being avoided or evaded.

Inevitable in a sentence: When something is inevitable there’s nothing you can do to stop it from taking place, but you can choose how to welcome it and use it to assist you along your inner growth journey.

Inevitable in action: If something can’t be avoided no matter what, that is inevitable.

Inevitable and inner growth: A look at how you live the inevitable and what you learn from it pursues inner growth as you work on ways to make the inevitable a positive experience for you in your life.

Inevitable and inner growth action steps:

  1. In-depth self-exploration questions: When did I first experience something inevitable? How do I feel about the inevitable?  What have I done to manage inevitable events?  When did I learn something amazing from an inevitable event?  How has the inevitable affected my life?  How has the inevitable affected my relationships?  What would I think if the inevitable didn’t exist?

  1. List or word bubble: Make a list or word bubble with inevitable at the center and then list or put around it all the words that come to mind associated with it. Now think of one major inevitable event in your life and write about it using the words from your list.

  1. Bring your awareness to your feelings about the inevitable and allow the emotions that come to you to flow. Notice where they arise, where they go and how they flow.  Any stagnant feelings, focus on them flowing like water, but also allow thoughts to come in and see what thoughts come to mind, as well as how they change the emotions your feeling.
