Inner Growth Word of The Day 348 – Happy

December 14

Inner Growth Word of the Day: Happy

Merriam-Webster Dictionary definition: (adj.) 1. favored by luck or fortune.  2. notably fitting, effective, or well adapted.  3 a. enjoying or characterized by well-being and contentment.

Happy in a sentence: When you are happy and see the happy in life, you pursue and confront things with a certain lightness.

Happy in action: Being joyful is considered happy.

Happy and inner growth: Exploring how happy is a part of your perspective, you (personally from within), and in your life enables inner growth as you pursue life with that in mind and look for ways to stay on a path where happy is part of it.

Happy and inner growth action steps:

  1. In-depth self-exploration questions: What does it mean to me to be happy? When did I first think about happy?  How does happy stay a part of my life?  What things affect my being happy or not?  What’s one of the most recent happy moments I shared with someone?  How do I pursue happy things?  Why is it important for me to keep happy as part of my life?

  1. List or word bubble: Make a list or word bubble with happy at the center and then list or put around it all the words that come to mind associated with it. Now think of one of the biggest takeaways you’ve had from a specific happy moment in your life and write about the takeaway and life moment using the words from your list.

  1. Bring your awareness to your feelings about being happy and being surrounded by happy moments, things, events; notice how your emotions change depending on what happy component you are thinking about. Pay attention to the flow of your feelings too and see if they are more obvious in certain parts of you or if they are evenly present.

Your turn – Share your happy sentence, life examples, and inner growth action steps; and let me know if you’d like to see something added to our Inner Growth Word of The Day explorations 🙂
