Friendly in action: A friendly action entails someone doing something nice for somebody else.
Friendly and inner growth: Exploring our friendly nature brings inner growth as you find out more about the kindness and helpful parts of you, when they come out in your day-to-day and when they don’t why, as well as what you can do to change that if you wish to do so.
Friendly and inner growth action steps:
- In-depth self-exploration questions: What does it mean to be friendly to me? How am I friendly towards others? What friendly tendencies do I have in my work environment? Why is it important to me to have friendly situations in my life? How have I learned about me and others through friendly events? When did I first notice being friendly?
- List or word bubble: Make a list or word bubble with friendly at the center and then list or put around it all the words that come to mind associated with it. From this list pick three words that remind you of a past, present, and important friendly moment in your life. Write about the event that means the most to you in what you learned from it. Use the remaining words from your list to write about the event.
- Bring your awareness to your feelings about being friendly and pay close attention to what first thoughts come to mind. From here focus on one of the thoughts and allow the emotions to flow and tell you more about what the situation meant to you. Go through at least three friendly events that came to mind, then redirect your focus to the feeling of friendly only and notice what stands out.
