Guarded in a sentence: Being guarded serves its purpose, but as long as openness remains a part of the process to avoid closing off to the unexpected beauties life has in store.
Guarded in action: When you are careful in your approach to situations, that is being guarded.
Guarded and inner growth: An in-depth look at when you are guarded and how it affects your choices brings inner growth as you look to safeguard yourself while also letting life happen.
Guarded and inner growth action steps:
- In-depth self-exploration questions: What does guarded mean to me? How am I guarded in life? When did I first notice I was guarded in certain circumstances? What are some of the biggest takeaways from situations where I was guarded? How has being guarded affected my relationships? What have I learned about being guarded from others? How has my approach to being guarded changed in the years? How has being guarded affected my life?
- List or word bubble: Make a list or word bubble with guarded at the center and then list or put around it all the words that come to mind associated with it. Now pick one of the most important events that took place in your life where you were guarded and write about it using the words from your list.
- Bring your awareness to your feelings about being guarded and notice what type of flow your emotions take. Also pay attention to the events that cross your mind and as they come to you pay close attention to the shift in feelings you get.
