Inner Growth Word of The Day 239 – Align

August 27

Inner Growth Word of the Day: Align

Merriam-Webster Dictionary definition: (v.) 1. to bring into line or alignment.

Align in a sentence: To align things in your life with your purpose is something that happens naturally as you follow your heart to make your decisions.

Align in action: When you pursue the things that feel in tune with you that is to align.

Align and inner growth: Part of inner growth entails being aware of or finding out what things align with your life.  Exploring the things that feel in alignment also brings about inner growth seeing as you get to know yourself more and more.

Align and inner growth action steps:

  1. In-depth self-exploration questions: What does it mean to me to align something? What have I done to align my life with my purpose?  When I align something in my life what do I do to bring about that alignment?  How do I identify the things that are in alignment with me?  How has aligning things in my life affected my relationships?

  1. List or word bubble: Make a list or word bubble with align at the center and then list or put around it all the other words that come to mind associated with it. From the list pick one word that stands out the most.  Next write about why this word stands out the most and how it relates to what you’ve done to align your life in a certain way.  If you can, use the words from your list to write about this.

  1. Bring your awareness to your feelings when you align something in your life. As you do this try not to think of any specific event, but just the emotions that arise from you knowing you are aligning things in your life according to what you feel from within.  Notice how these feelings flow throughout you and if they concentrate in any specific area or if they are evenly distributed throughout.  When you’re ready, think of the first time you took action to help something happen that you knew for certain was and is in alignment with you.  Take note of the differences and similarities between what you feel now and what you were feeling at first.
