Inner Growth Word of the Day: Chaotic

Google’s Dictionary/Search definition: (adj.) in a state of complete confusion and disorder.

Chaotic in a sentence: When things get chaotic it’s hard to maintain a state of calm, but it’s not impossible.

Chaotic in action: If life gets a bit hectic where you are no longer able to place an order to that which is around you, this is chaotic.

Chaotic and inner growth: A chaotic situation can take place in your life, but also within you; in both circumstances taking a look at how you react and what you do in these situations can give you insight into emotional responses or fears you have, it can also help you gain a state of calm to help you in the future with these types of situations.  Through this exploration inner growth takes place as transformation and awareness step in on your relationship with anything chaotic (inside and outside).

Chaotic and inner growth action steps:

  1. In-depth self-exploration questions: What does chaotic mean to me? When was the first time I experienced something chaotic?  How was my reaction influential to the chaotic situations I’ve been through?  What type of chaotic thoughts go through my mind most?  When has chaotic reflection been a part of my thoughts?  How have chaotic situations affected my life?  How have chaotic reactions affected my relationships?

  1. List or word bubble: Make a list or word bubble with chaotic at the center and then list or put around it all the other words that come to mind associated with it. From this list pick one word that represents the most important chaotic situation you’ve experienced up to date.  Now use the rest of the words from your list to write about this event.

  1. Bring your awareness to your feelings about chaotic and allow these emotions to flow throughout your body and mind, sitting in silence and visualizing nothing but yourself sitting quietly. As you do this notice where your feelings stem from and where they go.  If they seem to stagnate in certain places of your body, visualize them continuing on so that they are evenly distributed throughout your body.  When you’re ready allow thoughts to come in and take note of what thoughts stand out the most, let your emotions tell you why.
