Inner Growth Word of the Day: Uniqueness

Google’s Dictionary/Search definition: (n.) 1. the quality of being the only one of its kind. 1 a. the quality of being particularly remarkable, special, or unusual.

Uniqueness in a sentence: Each person’s uniqueness adds something special to this world.

Uniqueness in action: Uniqueness is the combined unique characteristics of a person or thing.

Uniqueness and inner growth:  Uniqueness is what makes you who you are and exploring those unique attributes allows you to pursue inner growth through the expansion of them or the transformation of them.

Uniqueness and inner growth action steps:

  1. In-depth self-exploration questions: When did I first notice my uniqueness? How has my uniqueness affected my life?  What have I learned from my uniqueness?  Have I added to my uniqueness in time?  If so, how and what?  Has anyone pointed out my uniqueness?  What did I think about what they said?  How do others affect my uniqueness?

  1. List or word bubble: Make a list or word bubble with uniqueness at the center and then list or put around it all the other words that come to mind associated with it. Pick one word from your list and next to it place one of your unique characteristics.  Write about why you chose that unique aspect and why did the word you picked remind you of it.

  1. Bring your awareness to your feelings about uniqueness and allow yourself to just feel. As you sit in silence notice what emotions are coming by more often.  When you’re ready explore each of the feelings that stood out the most and why you think that is.
