Inner Growth Word of the Day: Unconsciousness
Merriam-Webster Dictionary definition: (n.) 1 a. not knowing or perceiving: not aware. 1 b. free from self-awareness.
Unconsciousness in a sentence: Unconsciousness of one’s inner self isn’t as atypical as one may think.
Unconsciousness in action: Without exploring the in-depth parts of your inner self, unconsciousness stays.
Unconsciousness and inner growth: Reflecting on unconsciousness makes you aware of the places within you that you have yet to uncover; and when awareness also leads to action, then you pursue inner growth for you and those uncovered areas.
Unconsciousness and inner growth action steps:
- In-depth self-exploration questions: Have I explored my unconsciousness? Do I think it’s important to be active in bringing consciousness to a state of unconsciousness? How has unconsciousness affected my life? What have I learned from my unconsciousness? What about from uncovering my unconsciousness? What is the hardest part in exploring unconsciousness?
- List or word bubble: Make a list or word bubble with unconsciousness at the center and then list or put around it all the words that come to mind associated with it. Of those words separate them by feelings you associate to each word or group of words. Then write a story with those words, from a place of unconsciousness. When you’re done writing and reading your story, write it again; but this time from a place of consciousness. What’s one major change you noticed between the way the two stories went?
- Bring your awareness to your feelings about unconsciousness as it is; then as something applied to you, and then to others. Make note of how and if your feelings change as you think of unconsciousness in those different ways (from afar, personally, and then from your perspective applied to others).
