Inner Growth Thought of the Day: What Are You Committed To?
When you explore what you are committed to and what you say you’re committed to, but you’re not, you learn about your heart-felt purpose and meanings.
Life is this amazing journey that brings you to commit to things and inner growth helps you to go in-depth on these matters so that you may commit to the things that are in synergy with your inner core and that you will therefore always and forever do (commit to).
Here are some ways to take a closer look at the things you are committed to as you pursue inner growth.
- Make a list of two to five things you are committed to and write about at least one of the five things daily, pay attention to how everything plays out and if any part of this commitment rubs you the wrong way.
- Once a year think of the commitment that fell through and take a look at how you felt about this thing you committed to at the beginning of the decision. Spot what wasn’t in synergy with you and the feelings that arose so that you may identify commitments you should further explore before saying or thinking you’ll commit to them.
- Define what being committed looks like to you and write a list of two to three things that stand out from what you described as your definition. Also, pay attention to your feelings to spot anything that needs further inner exploration.
