Inner Growth Thought of the Day: The Importance Of Differentiating Between Assuming & Knowing
The importance of differentiating between assuming and knowing; how it affects you, your inner growth and our society at large is important for bringing forth and inspiring your higher potential and that of the world.
Through an inner growth exploration you uncover your assumptions about you and then gain the in-depth knowledge and pieces to you that allow you to apply a transformation that brings you to always look for and acknowledge all the pieces to you (and the external) versus staying in assumption (unconscious) mode about you, your inner core, self, and consequently others in the world as well.
Here are some ways to differentiate between assuming and knowing and leading with knowledge versus assumptions.
- Every time you make an assumption about yourself or others write it down and when you have the time start gaining concrete knowledge of the assumption posed through questions, conversations, and exploration on the assumption. At the end of your search write next to the assumption you had initially jotted down, the knowledge that you found out and notice the differences in how you now see that topic.
- Once a year take a look at the assumptions someone made about you and the missing knowledge of those assumptions. Think of times where you made a similar assumption on something or someone else, which in time you uncovered to be erroneous when the depth of that something or someone revealed itself in time.
- Every day decide actively how you are going to apply in-depth thought to you, someone or something and catch yourself when making an assumption so that you can make a switch in mindset and mode of exploration in the moment.
Your turn – Share your inner growth thought of the day, a sentence, life examples, or action steps you take with new beginnings 😊
