Inner Growth Thought of the Day: Bringing Forth The Best Of You When Things Get Tough
Bringing forth the best of you when things get tough isn’t always easy, but it is something that gets you to dig deep and go the distance.
As you pursue inner growth you will find that tough moments are what can help you to uncover the best of you and overcome any of those traits that keep you from expressing and being your best. Thanks to your ability to go within (to your inner core) and work with your emotions, as well as get to know them to see what works to transform them, you are able to bring forth that hidden best of you, which you were not conscious of before your exploration.
Here are some ways to bring forth the best of you when things get tough.
- Every week take some time to write about two to three traits you consider represent the best of you. Write a bit about how these traits are helpful in tough moments and what added insights you gain of them thanks to tough moments bringing them forth.
- Once a year write about one of the toughest situations you had to deal with and how thanks to your inner exploration you were able to add a new best trait to your arsenal of characteristics that get you to stay in a learning, open, and effective mindset no matter what is going on (in your life).
- Think about all the times you felt the best of you was not brought forth in a tough moment. Write about two or three things that held you back and decide what you want to do moving forward to remove those blocks.
