Inner Growth Thought of the Day: Transforming Moments Of Rush
There are those moments of rush where you feel like you just can’t get to your objective or goal or place soon enough; and transforming these moments of rush through inner growth is one of the most amazing experiences to get to go through.
When you take a minute to contemplate a rushing moment from within (your inner core), you discover a whole lot about it. Why you’re rushed, how you feel about it, what options you have to move forward with inner peace and not stress, and so forth. This inner growth contemplation brings you to transform that moment of rush into something that adds to you and your endeavors, instead of the opposite.
Here are some ways to transform moments of rush through inner growth.
- As soon as you realize you’re rushing take five minutes to list why you’re in a hurry. Next to each item understand the feeling associated and if it’s coming from within or from external sources (such as societal norms, systems, ranking of good/bad, etc.). Decide what you want that rush to become so that you can appreciate it instead of stress about it.
- Once a year bring to review all the moments where you felt super rushed and find the commonalities between these moments of the feeling that they brought about. Decide if you want to transform the feelings in the year to come and keep your decision in mind anytime you find yourself in a moment of rush.
- Define rush for you (the characteristics) and how it plays out in your life and use it to help you identify (bring to consciousness) rush in the moment, which in turn gets you to go within (to your inner core) for other options in the moment.
