When it comes to good things in life, can you really have too much of it?  Who decides what’s too much and why should there not be too much of it?  These sayings or thoughts can bring about tendencies to hold back or limit the potential you aim to achieve in life.

As you pursue inner growth, contemplating how you feel about “having too much of a good thing” or sayings of this nature can shed light on the unconscious limits that keep you from striving for more because of a belief that “more” is “too much”.

Here are some ways to pursue inner growth and remove limits from sayings or thoughts of there being “too much of a good thing”.

  1. When you notice yourself thinking that there’s too much of a good thing, list three reasons why this isn’t too much and why you deserve this “too much of a good thing” that is taking place.

  1. Pay attention to how you feel when a lot of good things come your way. If you spot any feelings of disbelief or like you’re not deserving of these good things, ask yourself why you don’t deserve to be happy and share gratitude for what is going on instead.

  1. Make a list of five things that happened in the year that brought you to think you had too much of a good thing and notice any commonalities between your items. Whatever common denominators you find, explore them from the heart to see what you uncover about you and the situation.

Your turn – Share your inner growth thought of the day, a sentence, life examples, or action steps you take with new beginnings 😊
