Inner Growth Thought of the Day: The Presence Of You In Everything You Do
As you become more in tune to your inner core and heart along an inner growth journey, you start noticing the presence of you in the things you do and the absence of you in the things you do.
While the things you do with the presence of you give you insights into your passions, the things you feel more a part of and that resonate with your essence; the things you are absent in give you the opportunity to explore why those things are still a part of your life, decide how or if you are going to let go of them, remove them from your life completely, or be grateful for them if you keep them around; and gain insights on the things you don’t feel a part of, but yet have brought into and/or integrated into your life.
Here are some ways to explore through inner growth the presence of you in everything you do.
- Make a list of two to five things you feel a part of, invested in from the heart and soul. For each of these things write next to them what part of you is reflected and how so.
- Once a year take a look at the things you did that you didn’t feel a part of or invested in as a part of you. Think about two to three reasons why you did these things anyway and think of two reasons why you’re grateful they took place and/or are a continued part of your life.
- Write down two to three feelings for the things you do where you are completely present and for the things you do that you are absent from when doing them. Write about what each feeling tells you about you and why this feeling comes about.
