Inner Growth Thought of the Day: Exploring Decisiveness vs Close-Mindedness
As you pursue inner growth you learn to differentiate between decisiveness and close-mindedness thanks to the exploration that takes place of the reasons behind your decisions.
Becoming more in tune with your inner core (heart) makes it so that you become decisive in the choices you make, while remaining open to others without taking away from the knowledge that your choices fit your journey and chosen path even when others may think otherwise.
Here are some ways to know when decisiveness is taking place as you pursue inner growth and/or encounter people that may bring you to question your choices.
- Whenever you question a choice you’re making based on options provided to you by others, make a list of two to five reasons why you made the choice in the first place. Pay close attention to your feelings about your choice and if you notice any doubt, then explore the other options the same way until you find the one that you feel certain about no matter the outcome.
- Define two to five traits that you have when you’re in decisive mode and when you’re in or you’ve been in close-mindedness mode. Use this list to differentiate between when you’re being decisive or close-minded towards something.
- As you pursue inner growth make a list of what you learn about you and your relationship with being decisive even when others contest it.
Your turn – Share your inner growth thought of the day, a sentence, life examples, or action steps you take with new beginnings 😊
