Stretching your belief boundaries is something you get to experience as you pursue inner growth and become aware of your inner core (heart) and the external inputs around you. With awareness of the two, you are brought to conscious decisions regarding your inner core’s (heartfelt) beliefs versus those presented to you by others (the external).

Inner Growth Thought of the Day: Stretching Your Belief Boundaries

Stretching your belief boundaries is something you get to experience as you pursue inner growth and become aware of your inner core (heart) and the external inputs around you.  With awareness of the two, you are brought to conscious decisions regarding your inner core’s (heartfelt) beliefs versus those presented to you by others (the external).

 

Through your learning and open mindset, you find out your deeper truths and you understand what the contour (the external) brings to you; with knowledge comes power and so you get to make decisions of how far you believe in what you believe or what limits are parts of your beliefs.  You gain insights to you and repeatedly can choose in life where your beliefs reach and where they stop (based on you, your inner core, your heart).

 

Here are some ways to uncover and explore your heartfelt belief boundaries with inner growth in mind and your inner core’s guidance.

 

  1. Make a list of two to five things you believe about your potential to succeed in any meaningful life endeavor. Next to each belief, place two to three limits you have for it.  For each limit put an “I” for your imposed limits and an “E” for external limits. Every time you do this (daily, yearly, monthly, etc.), decide if you want to stretch your belief boundaries or stick to the limits you have placed next to each belief.

 

  1. When you think of the experiences that have proven your limited definitions of your beliefs (now old beliefs), what stands out the most about those experiences? Look to these common traits to help you stretch your beliefs when you are limiting yourself in the moment.

 

  1. Every time you give external beliefs more credit than ones from your inner core (heart) for things concerning your life, make two lists: One list of why external beliefs hold more value than your own in something regarding your life; and the second list of why your heartfelt beliefs need to hold more value to you than you are allowing them to.
