Inner Growth Thought of the Day: That Exhilarating Feeling
That exhilarating feeling you get from achieving goals and milestones you set or seeing things you desire come to reality is something you want to keep in the forefront to enjoy the moment, but also allow that feeling, that energy, to fuel your fire (so to speak).
Sometimes when you share this moment with others you may not always feel like it’s understood, but this experience is something that can actually add to your moment as you learn to keep in mind that everyone experiences things differently and this doesn’t have to take away from this exciting moment in your life.
Here are some ways to keep that exhilarating feeling in the forefront as you live it and share it with others.
- When you share a moment of excitement with someone and notice yourself becoming affected by the other’s response to what you’re sharing refocus your attention to your feeling and understanding it has nothing to do with the external input you’re getting from someone else.
- Make a mental (or written) list of one to three moments that were full of excitement and motivational feelings for you. When you feel your energy-levels lowering bring one of these (or all of them) moments to mind.
- Every morning, take five minutes to use a couple words to describe an exhilarating feeling you recently experienced.
