Inner Growth Thought of the Day: Stopping Self-Doubt

Tune in to the Inspiring Human Potential podcast on Anchor to hear more on the topic 😊

There are many times where doubts creep in that we don’t even realize are self-doubts.  Sometimes they seem like uncertainties or things we are contemplating, but when you look closely it’s self-doubt in action because it’s questioning your choice based on something you’ve observed from the external that brings you to question the internal.

Identifying when you are in self-doubt due to the habit of defining certainty with the external inputs you’ve received allows you to become aware of that external influence, which then helps you to look within and give yourself the same certainty.

Here are some ways to help you stop self-doubt in its tracks and use those moments to further your inner growth and harmony.

  1. Every time you experience self-doubt, put it on a self-doubt list (start the list with the first three times you experienced self-doubt and go from there). Use one word to describe what this self-doubt is about and a sentence that describes how your heart feels about this self-doubt.

  1. When you look at your list of self-doubt what do you identify as a common theme in how your inner self feels about these doubts. Identify your heart’s truth about this doubt.

  1. Once a month make a mental note of how you will stop self-doubt when it comes about; abd every time in that month that self-doubt takes place, use one of your solutions to stop it from stopping you.

Your turn – Share your inner growth thought of the day, a sentence, life examples, or action steps you take with new beginnings 😊
