Inner Growth Thought of the Day: Your Mindset
The mindset you hold is that instinctual reaction you have to things that happen, but with awareness that mindset can also be transformed to something more. You can learn about yourself by becoming aware of your mindset and also choose to work towards gaining a mindset that entails learning, inner growth, and reacting in an open way to what life brings your way.
Life is an experience that is affected by your mindset and along with your beliefs you can work towards your inner heart’s desire, which then furthers you along your self-discovery and consciousness journey, but also one where you are reacting in a way that inspires your highest potential.
Here are some ways to work with your mindset to bring about an inner growth mindset that leads you as far as you want to go in your life, as you enter that learning reaction mode.
- Once a day notice how your mindset is involved in how you experience the day (you can notice this with the words you use, the feelings you have, the thoughts you think, and so on).
- Describe your mindset for the year that has past using three adjectives to describe it. Add another adjective to your mindset or change the adjectives if you wish to do so. This added adjective or change is what you want to see unfold in the upcoming year. When you review this list at the end of the year notice how you implemented the new addition or description and repeat for the next year.
- Make a list of your beliefs and how they can support your ideal mindset. Every time your mindset comes into play in a life event, apply your beliefs and/or go to them to help guide you with your mindset in the moment.
