Inner Growth Thought of the Day: Shooting For The Stars

Tune in to the Inspiring Human Potential podcast on Anchor to hear more on the topic 😊

The different feelings around the idea of shooting for the stars depend on how you envision shooting for the starts to be, which will also depend on what you consider to be the stars you’re reaching for (a job promotion, a million dollars, the perfect career path, etc.).  Add to this, the confusion that can arise from thoughts of doubt or doubt brought by others, or even the possibility of fears stopping you.

The beauty of shooting for the stars when you’re pursuing inner growth is the inclination to see and remove self-doubt and doubt brought about by others.  Because you’re in an inner growth mindset this allows you to see how each step of the way (as you reach for the stars) you are actually learning new things; facing and overcoming fears and doubts; and getting to where you need to be to manage the place you’ll be in once you reach the stars.

Here are some ways to ensure you stay in an inner growth mindset when shooting for the stars.

  1. Anytime fear or doubt creep in, ask yourself how much you believe you deserve to reach your stars (your goals) and why should you not be able to reach them?

  1. Everyday set a star you want to reach (a goal) and at the end of the day recall how it felt to reach that star (goal). Do this for your yearly stars (goals) as well.

  1. Once a month, revisit what shooting for the stars looks like to you, feels like, and how it will be a part of your life.

Your turn – Share your inner growth thought of the day, a sentence, life examples, or action steps you take with new beginnings 😊
