Inner Growth Word of The Day 304 – Vision

October 31

Inner Growth Word of the Day: Vision

Merriam-Webster Dictionary definition: (n.) 2 a. something seen in a dream, trance, or ecstasy.  2 b. a thought, concept, or object formed by the imagination.  2 c. a manifestation to the senses of something immaterial.

Vision in a sentence: Visions vary from person to person and can be something you see in a dream or something you consciously visualize in your life; it all depends on you.

Vision in action: Thinking of a concept or object using your imagination or seeing something in a dream can both be a vision.

Vision and inner growth: A look at the visions you have from a conscious perspective (meaning how you foresee your life, where your imagination takes you in that which you want to have in your life, and what you visualize being a part of your day to day) will bring inner growth since through exploration you will find what each vision means to you from within and contemplate if it really is a part of you.

Vision and inner growth action steps:

  1. In-depth self-exploration questions: The first vision I ever had of what my future would be like? How does a vision affect my actions?  What have I learned thanks to different visions on how I want my life to be?  Why do visions mean something to me?  Who do I share my visions with?  How does a vision play a role in the relationships I build?  When do I ignore my visions and why?

  1. List or word bubble: Make a list or word bubble with vision at the center and then list or put around it all the words that come to mind associated with it. From this list think of one vision that stands out the most to you for how it made you feel.  Write about it using the words from your list.

  1. Bring your awareness to your feelings about any vision that has made a huge impact in your life and allow these emotions that arise to tell you more by focusing on their flow. Where do the feelings arise, how do they move throughout your body, do they settle in certain places, do you feel at ease, and so on.  As you do this keep in mind a river that leads to the open sea.
