October 12

Inner Growth Word of the Day: Likely

Merriam-Webster Dictionary definition: (adj.) 1. having a high probability of occurring or being true.

Likely in a sentence: When something is likely to happen that you are excited about it brings about an immense joy in your day to day.

Likely in action: If an event is probably going to take place, that is likely going to happen.

Likely and inner growth: Exploring how we feel about those likely events that will take place in our life can bring inner growth by getting you to savor every moment as you await that special event, moment, situation.

Likely and inner growth action steps:

  1. In-depth self-exploration questions: How do events that are likely to happen affect me? When do I consider something likely to happen?  What are events that I thought were likely to happen that instead didn’t happen?  How have likely moments that affect me emotionally affected my relationships as I awaited those events?  What have I learned from the likely moments I’ve experienced so far?

  1. List or word bubble: Make a list or word bubble with likely at the center and then list or put around it all the words that come to mind associated with it. Now list three things that you were happy were likely to happen and write about the one that made the biggest change in your life.

  1. Bring your awareness to your feelings about when you likely await an event that excites you. As you allow these emotions to come in, notice where they start and where they go.  Do this as you visualize the event that took place and pay close attention to how your feelings change as you relive the moment before the event happened.
