Inner Growth Word of The Day 269 – Potential

September 26

Inner Growth Word of the Day: Potential

Merriam-Webster Dictionary definition: (adj.) 1. existing in possibility.  / (n.) 1 a. something that can develop or become actual.

Potential in a sentence: Everyone has unlimited potential to reach any height they wish to in life.

Potential in action: When you reach a higher level of self-discovery and action, that is potential.

Potential and inner growth: A look at your potential brings inner growth because as you take action to pursue those things you know you can strive for and raise in level of potential, you also find traits and behaviors that you explore.

Potential and inner growth action steps:

  1. In-depth self-exploration questions: How do you define your potential? When did you first think about the potential you had to do the things you want to in life?  Who has influenced your potential?  Why did you first think about the potential you can reach in life?  How has your higher potential affected your life and relationships?

  1. List or word bubble: Make a list or word bubble with potential at the center and then list or put around it all the words that come to mind associated with it. Write down the first thing that comes to mind when you read the list.  How does this thing you wrote down relate to your potential?  Use the words from your list to write about this.

  1. Bring your awareness to your feelings about potential and allow them to flow; notice the boosts of energy you get here and there (the frequency, where they come in, the level of intensity, etc.) and if they correlate to the emotions that are passing by as you think about potential.

Your turn – Share your potential sentence, life examples, and inner growth action steps; and let me know if you’d like to see something added to our Inner Growth Word of The Day explorations 🙂
