Present and inner growth: Living in the present moment brings inner growth because it brings about a state of awareness in each moment that you experience and gets you to ponder, appreciate, and explore those moments as you’re living them.
Present and inner growth action steps:
- In-depth self-exploration questions: How does the present affect me? When I’m in the present what feelings tend to arise in me? Why is the present important to me? What have I learned from being aware of the present? How does the present moment affect my relationships? What do I cherish most about the present?
- List or word bubble: Make a list or word bubble with present at the center and then list or put around it all the words that come to mind associated with it. From this list think of one thing that is in the present now and write about it using the words from your list.
- Bring your awareness to your feelings about the present and notice where those emotions take you, what thoughts come to mind and as you do this, visualize love and warmth, and the things you are grateful for that are in your life today. When you’re ready look for the common theme in your feelings about the present.
