Inner Growth Word of The Day 203 – Exploration

July 22

Inner Growth Word of the Day: Exploration

Merriam-Webster Dictionary definition: (n.) the act or an instance of exploring (1 a. to investigate, study, or analyze).

Exploration in a sentence: An inclination towards exploration is an indication of a curious mind.

Exploration in action: When you look into things to find out as much as possible about them, that is exploration.

Exploration and inner growth: Inner growth takes place thanks to the inclination of exploration by you into matters that are a part of who you are and how you are.  With exploration being a part of every aspect that comes to be in your life, you have an array of opportunities to transform and grow as you uncover the deeper aspects of you in relation to those life events.

Exploration and inner growth action steps:

  1. In-depth self-exploration questions: What does exploration mean to me? How has exploration affected my life?  When did exploration take place in my day-to-day for the first time?  Who has influenced my sense of exploration?  How has exploration affected my relationships?  What have I learned about me and about my life through exploration?

  1. List or word bubble: Make a list or word bubble with exploration at the center and then list or put around it all the other words that come to mind associated with it. From these words think of three areas in your life where exploration is taking place right now.  What stands out the most from these three areas?  Write about it using the words from the first list.

  1. Bring your awareness to your feelings about exploration and allow them to flow from head to toe. As this takes place visualize a place where you are most at home and in this place you see the emotions you are feeling come to life.  What do they look like, what is happening, and what emotions stand out the most as you do this.
