Inner Growth Word of The Day 194 – Process

July 13

Inner Growth Word of the Day: Process

Merriam-Webster Dictionary definition: (n.) 2 a1. a natural phenomenon marked by gradual changes that lead toward a particular result.

Process in a sentence: Life is a series of ongoing processes for as long as you are alive.

Process in action: When transformation takes place, even if it’s a slight change of color or behavior, that change involved a process.

Process and inner growth: Pausing to look at the processes that have taken place in your life gets you to really understand that there’s always some sort of transformation happening, even with the foundation always being what it is; the minor molds and tweaks refine who you are and this process takes place as you live life, which in turn also brings inner growth.

Process and inner growth action steps:

  1. In-depth self-exploration questions: How has process affected my life? What process have I gone through that had a huge impact in who I am today?  When was the first time I thought about the processes I go through in life?  Why is process important to me?  Do I judge process?  How has process affected my relationships?

  1. List or word bubble: Make a list or word bubble with process at the center and then list or put around it all the other words that come to mind associated with it. Now pick one word from this list and think about a specific process you’ve been through that stands out for what came next.  Use the remaining words from your list to write about this event.

  1. Bring your awareness to your feelings about process and allow them to navigate throughout you, noticing where most of your emotions are coming from, as well as where they seem to go. As you do this keep your mind focused on an image that soothes you and when you feel like your feelings are evenly distributed within you, allow thoughts to come in and notice what processes you’ve been through come to mind.
