Inner Growth Word of the Day: Versatile

Merriam-Webster Dictionary definition: (adj.) 1. embracing a variety of subjects, fields, or skills.

Versatile in a sentence: Being versatile comes as years go by and you learn new things.

Versatile in action: Having knowledge of a variety of topics and knowing how to do different things is being versatile.

Versatile and inner growth: Exploring your versatile nature and the things you’re more inclined to learn brings about inner growth because you take note of where your natural tendencies are.  This also means you gain knowledge of the areas that you are less drawn to, which you can also look into so that you understand why you’re not drawn to them.

Versatile and inner growth action steps:

  1. In-depth self-exploration questions: What do I think about being versatile? How has being able to be versatile affected my life?  When did I take notice of my versatile tendencies?  How has being versatile played a role in relationships?  What is something that stands out from my versatile attributes?

  1. List or word bubble: Make a list or word bubble with versatile at the center and then list or put around it all the other words that come to mind associated with it. Next think of one word that encompasses your versatile nature and use the words from your first list to write about it.

  1. Bring your awareness to your feelings about being versatile and let the emotions flow. As you are doing this notice what feeling stands out the most and when you’ve pinpointed it think about one life event that comes to mind associated with that feeling and your versatile nature.
