Inner Growth Word of The Day 81 – Nature

March 22

Inner Growth Word of the Day: Nature

Merriam-Webster Dictionary definition: (n.) 1 a. the inherent character or basic constitution of a person or thing. 1 b. disposition, temperament.

Nature in a sentence: There are a number of opinions on the nature of human behavior, each with their own reasoning as to why.

Nature in action: When someone defines their character to be innate to who they are, it is their nature.

Nature and inner growth: To define one’s nature is something that allows you to also look beyond those definitions.  When going beyond the lines of what defines you, you initiate a path towards inner growth because you do not stop at the definition set in front you.

Nature and inner growth action steps:

  1. In-depth self-exploration questions: How do I feel about my nature? What does nature mean to me when applied to humans?  How has my nature affected me?  How has it affected my life?  What have I learned from exploring my nature?  What about exploring the nature of humanity, what lessons have I acquired from this in-depth dive?  Do I believe there’s only one human nature?  If so, what is that nature?

  1. List or word bubble: Make a list or word bubble with nature at the center and then list or put around it all the words that come to mind associated with it. Next write a second list of three to ten things that come to mind about your nature.  With both lists write out a description of the overall nature that makes up you.

  1. Bring your awareness to your feelings about nature and allow that first feeling to fill your heart and your mind. Silence the thoughts and just focus on your emotions, then slowly start focusing on the contour of additional feelings that come about.

Your turn – Share your nature sentence, life examples, and inner growth action steps; and let me know if you’d like to see something added to our Inner Growth Word of The Day explorations 🙂
