Loneliness and inner growth action steps:
- In-depth self-exploration questions: How does loneliness affect me? How has loneliness affected my life? What have I learned from moments of loneliness? What does loneliness mean to me? Have I met others who have shared moments of loneliness that have given me insights on my own feelings about it? Have there been times where I’ve experienced loneliness, but was surrounded by others? If so, why did I feel this way and what did I learn from the experience?
- List or word bubble: Make a list or word bubble with loneliness at the center and then list or put around it all the words that come to mind associated with it. Choose five of the words you listed and next to each one, list a life event or feeling that comes to mind. Now choose another five words and list next to each something you’ve learned from them.
- Bring your awareness to your feelings about loneliness and as you experience the feeling think of another feeling that you associate to that feeling. Allow your thoughts to roam freely too and make a note of the thoughts that stand out more for the feelings they bring about. Is there any particular feeling that stands out more than the others?
