Hide in a sentence: You can hide the truth, but that doesn’t mean you don’t see or feel it.
Hide in action: When you conceal something from yourself or others, whether intentional or not, you are hiding it; but that doesn’t mean it is gone.
Hide and inner growth: Even though it may not be easy to uncover the things we hide from ourselves (whatever the reason), a feeling persists of your hidden truths. This feeling eventually brings you to act, which gets you to take steps towards your inner growth and leads you to the discovery of the things you’ve chosen to hide.
Hide and inner growth action steps:
- In-depth self-exploration questions: Do I hide things to myself? Do I hide things from others? What do I tend to hide and how do I find out I’m hiding them? Do I hide events from life? Do I think hiding some things are natural to humans? Why do I hide things from myself? How about from others?
- List or word bubble: Make a list or word bubble with hide at the center and then list or put around it all the words that come to mind associated with it. Now make a list of the things you know today that you have hidden from yourself and write out your reasons in one word or use the words you put in your first list to express your reasons.
- Bring your awareness to your feelings about hiding and do your best to allow them to flow without thinking of anything at least at first. Then as thoughts cross your mind notice if your feelings change and how they change depending on each thought associated to hiding. If there’s anything that stands out the most, explore that further when you get the chance.
