Inner Growth Thought of the Day: How To Make The Most Of Mixed Emotions
Mixed emotions tend to keep us from moving forward, but those mixed emotions can bring forth lessons that benefit inner growth and the situation at hand when looked at in-depth.
As you pursue inner growth and raise your consciousness of you in the moment, what makes you tick, what you want to express through the things you do, and so on; you are able to identify the doubts that arise within you as you take steps towards becoming that essence of you in form (who you are, how you behave and react, what you do, etc.). When you look at your mixed emotions with this knowledge, you spot what is actually going on within you (when mixed emotions take place) and this enables you to clear those emotions so that they make sense and are no longer in a state of confusion.
Here are some ways to make the most of mixed emotions through inner growth.
- As soon as you realize that something you’re deciding on or working on is causing mixed emotions write down every emotion and thought that is going on. Contemplate each and uncover the fear or doubt that is hiding behind the emotion and thought.
- Define what a state of mixed emotions is like for you and when they take place most often (in what circumstances, situations, or thought processes). Take note of the shared commonalities (traits) amongst these circumstances, situations, and thoughts that are present every time you sense mixed emotions.
- Once a year take a look back at the moments of mixed emotions you explored through inner growth and what you learned most about you. Also make a note of how you overcome them and what you think this will help in the year to come.
