Inner Growth Thought of the Day: Dealing With A Past That Haunts You Through Inner Growth
When it seems that your past is haunting you or if you feel that way about your past, there is much that you can learn and gain from it when you contemplate and explore the situation through inner growth.
As your focus turns within through inner growth, your inner core’s messages and thoughts come to the surface. Consciousness of your feelings and thoughts with past life events gets you to bring in acceptance of the past and decisions on moving forward from it in a way that doesn’t hold you back (“haunt” you). Your awareness also gets you to pursue complete knowledge of you, your perspectives, self-love, and other things that are a part of your person and the essence of you; and that are reflected in your relationship with the past that is a part of you even if no longer actively a part of you and your life.
Here are some ways to look to the past that haunts you through inner growth and bring about your higher potential instead of the opposite.
- Every time you notice yourself turning to past events with a feeling of dread or discomfort, list five ways your past has helped you get to where you are today and to be who you are, thanks to what you experienced in those past events.
- Describe what a past that haunts you looks like emotionally, and follow up with questions that get you to explore these emotions in a way that bring about the transformation you want to see in them.
- Write about two to three past events that continue to come back into your life and bring you to feel “haunted”. Find what importance each of these events has on how you see yourself and your successes from the heart. Whatever you uncover that your inner core is disconnected with, find one way you are going to attempt bringing synergy and connection to it instead. Keep testing ways until you find your perfect match.
