Finding yourself is an amazing and in-depth journey that you get to pursue whether you look within or not. However, to uncover yourself in and out, looking to your inner core, seeing it, understanding it, consciously choosing transformation or acceptance, and so on, is how you will know who you are completely and why.

Inner Growth Thought of the Day: Finding Yourself

Finding yourself is an amazing and in-depth journey that you get to pursue whether you look within or not.  However, to uncover yourself in and out, looking to your inner core, seeing it, understanding it, consciously choosing transformation or acceptance, and so on, is how you will know who you are completely and why.

 

This knowledge allows you to embrace inner growth moving forward, and the mindset which shows you the way towards love, openness and continuous learning and opportunity for choice, transformation, collaboration of you and with the world around you.  Being able to share a compassionate word and heart to others on the journey of finding themselves is a plus to the potential you’re able to achieve thanks to this type of exploration.

 

Here are some ways to find yourself with inner growth in mind as you explore what you uncover through your journey.

 

  1. List two to five characteristics about yourself every day and list how the characteristics affect your day-to-day and how they came to be (the why of their existence). Any characteristic you find is not in sync with your inner core evaluate what you want to do about it.

 

  1. Make a timeline of your journey of your “finding yourself” moments starting with the first instance where you consciously thought about how you had found yourself. Add to your timeline every time you have a “finding yourself” moment moving forward from when you finish the timeline you created (to the present day).  Next to each timeline event (“finding yourself” moment) write about: what you found out about yourself, how you explored it from the heart (your inner core), and anything that stood out about the moment feeling wise.

 

  1. At the end of the day take five minutes to find yourself throughout the day (the actions you took, the thoughts you spoke, the interactions you had, the feelings that you felt and experienced). Focus on one important event that you know is significant to your inner growth journey and take another five minutes to contemplate it from the heart (your inner core).
