Inner Growth Thought of the Day: Contemplation On Limitedness
When you interact with limitedness, whether a mindset or situation, there’s plenty to learn about the perspectives being presented to you and your openness to interacting in such situations.
As you explore your thoughts, feelings, reactions and ability to stay open even if faced with limits from the external, you are able to bring openness to the situation, in addition to gaining insights on you and choosing with awareness how to approach limitedness.
Here are some ways to stay on your inner growth journey even when encountering limitedness.
- Every time you encounter limitedness define it with at least three words that include how you feel about the situation. Explore the words you chose to describe your feelings and find if they are closing you off in the moment or opening you open to staying in a learning mindset.
- List two to five things that you always do in situations where limitedness is present that help you to go beyond in the moment. Revisit your list every time you have something new to add.
- Take a look at moments where you brought limitedness to the experience you were going through and notice what worked (for you) to help you remove yourself from staying closed off to the situation. Keep these things in mind when you notice limitedness creeping in.
