Tune in to the Inspiring Human Potential podcast on Anchor to hear more on the topic 😊

How you feel about challenges as obstacles depends on a number of things that you uncover as you pursue these situations with inner growth in mind and a learning mindset.

As you pursue your journey and explore these feelings in the moments, you are able to take steps in a direction that brings you to be inclined to find your teaching moments from the challenges versus being in a rut as you face a challenge or having major ups and downs.

Your inner compass (heart) is where you will find stability and when it comes to challenges as obstacles, it isn’t only uncovering your perspective, it is also working with your compass to decide what inclination you will have feeling wise when challenges as obstacles or not, approach.

Here are some ways to lift the weight of challenges as obstacles in the moment thanks to adopting an inner growth mindset.

  1. When you notice yourself worn down by a challenging situation take five minutes to describe the challenge on paper. Notice what types of words you use to describe the challenge and switch the words with ones that promote learning, openness, and experience.  Also, notice what skills or practice you are getting from having to deal with/face this challenge.

  1. Look back to a challenge in your life that seemed like an insurmountable obstacle and that you overcame in time. Keep this moment in your mind when you’re facing a challenge/obstacle situation; and take five or ten minutes to appreciate this moment for what it is helping you to learn about your inner compass (heart).

  1. Make it a habit to notice your shoulders and chest area when you are faced with a challenge, any challenge. Every time you do this write three to five words describing what you notice and in time see what type of pattern you notice you have when challenges/obstacles come your way.  If you’re not happy with your pattern, make a point to decide what you want it to become and then go about putting it into practice until you obtain your goal or are brought to reevaluate it.

Your turn – Share your inner growth thought of the day, a sentence, life examples, or action steps you take with new beginnings 😊
