Inner Growth Thought of the Day: 3 Keys To Successful Partnerships
Whether partnerships for work or in life and your day-to-day, both have keys to being successful ones for everyone involved.
Three of those fundamental components include knowing how you affect those relationships, tuning in to your gut if it sends you mixed signals about compatibility, and effective communication, which means identifying and removing your bias, and really listening to others (putting yourself in their shoes).
Here are some ways to keep these keys in the forefront of your partnerships, while also pursuing inner growth.
- Make a list of the characteristics that define a successful partnership to you. Next to each, write how it affects your day-to-day relationships in a way that allows you to get to know yourself and be of better support to those you are in a partnership with (whether for work, relationship, friendship, and so on).
- When you are in a conversation try your best to be aware of your opinions and the emotions they bring forth. As you gain awareness of these, pause what you notice is affecting the conversation in a non-constructive way. Then, as soon as you get five minutes, explore the opinions and emotions to understand from your core, what’s the deeper meaning of these and what you can do to make them constructive for you moving forward and for your partnership.
- At the end of the year, take a look at all the times your gut guided you in the growth, dissolving and identifying of ideal partnerships. As you do this pay attention to your gut’s “language” by taking a deeper look at each situation. This will help you learn the cues of your gut in time.
Your turn – Share your inner growth thought of the day, a sentence, life examples, or action steps you take with new beginnings 😊
