Inner Growth Thought of the Day: You’re Not Alone
That feeling that you’re all alone in those challenges you face as you look to reach that happy medium with your heart and life is something that many others feel. I’m sure you recall various conversations you’ve had with others on the topic and how they understood exactly what you meant with that feeling alone.
And even though you’re not alone, it doesn’t mean that those moments get any easier; but what you can learn from those moments and actually use to pursue your inner growth is turn to your heart, to your belief in you and what you stand for, and to look at what insecurities are left for you to work through so that you can move forward with your goals, plans, desires, with full conviction of them because you have full faith in you and your heart’s purpose.
Some helpful tips to assist you in those moments where you feel alone, even though you’re not alone.
- When you feel alone go through the different feelings you are experiencing. Describe each one with different words, adjectives, and ask the question: what is the source of this feeling, what is the deep real-life situation that is connecting to this feeling I’m feeling?
- Explore the answers you give to your questions and organize them in categories that reflect what you see these answers indicating: is it an insecurity or desire for validation, or maybe it’s uncertainty of life; identify the essence of that answer to the feeling you’re experiencing in that moment.
- Make a list (even just a mental list) of all the people who support you and all the people you’ve encountered along your journey who have shared similar moments as the one you’re experiencing.
