Inner Growth Thought of the Day: Stereotypes, Stigmas & Limits
When it comes to how far we decide to go with our unlimited potential, being aware of stereotypes, stigmas and “limits” is what can help you put into action just how far you break away from those limits of what you envision for life and for the inner growth you’d like to achieve in the pursuit of your inner harmony.
It is not to say that you remove what is a part of your foundation, simply that you know that foundation as it plays its role in your decisions and vision. What you can achieve and express to the world at large depends on you and having awareness allows you to be open to life in a way that renders what are usually limits, simply a starting point and part of a whole, but not the only “whole” of that life.
Here are some ways you can bring awareness to you of stereotypes, stigmas and limits that are a part of your thought process so that you can break free from them in the moment.
- When you share an opinion or a thought, or when you are evaluating a decision; take notice of the words you use, the definitions you apply and the inclinations you have of judgements regarding those thoughts and situations.
- In the moment understand where those words, definitions and inclinations come from and ask yourself if you believe them to be the sole way.
- Apply the question of what you believe is the limit in this specific circumstance for you and what would you see on the other hand if you removed those limits in the moment. Basically, how else could this same situation play out in the absence of limits.
