Inner Growth Thought of The Day 6 – Ignorance Is Bliss, Or Is It?

Ignorance is bliss when one is satisfied with stopping at the surface and as long as that surface (what you are told) doesn’t cause any inner discomfort or discord. It is also bliss to those who view the in-depth components of things, of humans, of life, as something “heavy” to explore and not something that assists the pursuit of inner growth and harmony.

Inner Growth Thought of the Day: Ignorance Is Bliss, Or Is It?

Tune in to the Inspiring Human Potential podcast on Anchor to hear more on the topic 😊

If knowledge of the intricacies that are a part of every aspect of life, from the unique individual to society, to life events and experiences, is something that you look forward to learning from and expanding your awareness in all that is a part of your world (outside and inside), then for you ignorance is not bliss and I have some tips to help you along your exploration and inner growth journey with the knowledge you come across through life experiences.

  1. Every situation you are presented with (stereotype, judgement, cultural behavior, etc.) is an opportunity for you to ask yourself where your heart stands on these. Are the labels there because of insecurities?  Do you really think people are that different in what they are trying to achieve in life?  What does the situation look like when you remove all bias and set a neutral perspective?

  1. Knowledge and details are given weight, meaning, and negative/positive connotations by you; identify each and transform that weight, meaning of knowledge to one of learning something new, not something bad or good. Notice how this changes your experience when finding out more things about something or someone.

  1. Every time you feel you “know too much” think of how your life would be if you stayed in ignorance and ask yourself if you really think you’d be in “bliss” with the lack of curiosity and learning spirit. If you answer yes, then remember, you can always choose not to pursue inner growth or knowledge or anything that you do not want.

Your turn – Share your inner growth thought of the day, a sentence, life examples, or action steps you take with new beginnings 😊
