Inner Growth Word of the Day: Uneventful
Merriam-Webster Dictionary definition: (adj.) marked by no noteworthy or untoward incidents.
Uneventful in a sentence: Just because something is uneventful, it doesn’t mean nothing meaningful happened.
Uneventful in action: When a situation isn’t particularly unique, that is uneventful.
Uneventful and inner growth: A closer look at uneventful events like what you learn from them, what you learn about you and the takeaways about life; bring about inner growth as you recognize the hidden importance behind them.
Uneventful and inner growth action steps:
- In-depth self-exploration questions: What do uneventful events mean to me? When is something uneventful for me? How do I learn about situations and events when they are uneventful? Why do uneventful situations grab my attention? What do I consider a part of an uneventful thought? How do I react to uneventful events?
- List or word bubble: Make a list or word bubble with uneventful at the center and then list or put around it all the words that come to mind associated with it. Now think of one major uneventful situation you’ve recently experienced and write about it using the words from your list.
- Bring your awareness to your feelings about uneventful situations and focus on each emotion that arises from this thought. As you pay attention to those feelings, how they flow, where they go; also pay attention to which uneventful events or situations come to mind. When you’re ready shift your focus to the event or situation that stands out the most and notice how the feelings you experience are different and/or similar to the ones that were taking place before.
