Inner Growth Word of the Day: Important
Merriam-Webster Dictionary definition: (adj.) 1. marked by or indicative of significant worth or consequence.
Important in a sentence: Anything that is important to you should be considered in your long-term choices.
Important in action: Something of value to a person, that is important.
Important and inner growth: Knowing why you value some things as important and others not pursues inner growth as it gives you the opportunity to find out what those things really mean to you and how they are a part of and affect your life.
Important and inner growth action steps:
- In-depth self-exploration questions: What do I hold as important in my life? Do I take action to include the important things in my day to day? What makes something important to me? What makes someone important to me? How important is my happiness to me? When was the first time I identified something or someone as important? What new important things have come into my life? How does important affect my relationships?
- List or word bubble: Make a list or word bubble with important at the center and then list or put around it all the words that come to mind associated with it. Now think of three things that have been important to you since you can remember. Write about the one that stands out the most using the words from your list.
- Bring your awareness to your feelings about what is important to you and notice what emotions go with what thought. Focus on one important thing/thought at a time and allow those feelings to flow, notice how they flow and if they stagnate in any particular location of your body. Visualize them moving along so that you can move on to your next important thing/thought. Go through as many as you’d like and notice what commonalities and differences there are between them all.
