Inner Growth Word of the Day: Conditional
Merriam-Webster Dictionary definition: (adj.) 1. subject to, implying, or dependent upon a condition. 2. expressing, containing, or implying a supposition.
Conditional in a sentence: Things that are conditional are worth exploring in-depth before coming to any final conclusion about them.
Conditional in action: When you do something based on a set of demands that is a type of conditional action.
Conditional and inner growth: Exploring anything and everything that has conditional components to it allows for inner growth because that which you are invested in only according to a certain criteria is worth finding out more about (why the conditions).
Conditional and inner growth action steps:
- In-depth self-exploration questions: What does conditional mean to me? How have I applied conditional actions? What is a conditional situation that comes to mind where I made the choice of the conditions? Why do I think conditional behavior is worth exploring? How has my conditional behavior affected my life? What have my conditional tendencies brought about in my relationships?
- List or word bubble: Make a list or word bubble with conditional at the center and then list or put around it all the words that come to mind associated with it. Use the words to write about the one thing that comes to mind immediately when you hear the word conditional.
- Bring your awareness to your feelings about anything conditional and pay close attention to where your feelings arise, what thoughts cross your mind, and how does that affect the flow of these emotions. Depending on what feeling stands out the most, focus on that one first and see what specific things come to mind relating to something conditional, then move on to the next feeling and do so until you get through the major ones you’re aware of.
